Sprinkler Service Engineer

Our Sprinkler Service Engineer will be responsible for conducting fire sprinkler services across project sites.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Carry out engineering and maintenance tasks as scheduled, working across a wide range of sprinkler systems in line with current industry standards.

• Perform both planned preventative maintenance and reactive service works, following company standards.

• Diagnose faults efficiently and complete repairs, ensuring all issues are accurately recorded and supported with photographic evidence.

• Conduct flow and duty testing on sprinkler fire pumps, hydrants, and residential systems, including all relevant integrity checks.

• Undertake fire pump flow testing as required to ensure optimal system performance and compliance.

• Maintain clear and professional communication at all site levels, representing the company to a consistently high standard in both written and verbal interactions.

• Work in full compliance with company and site-specific health and safety procedures, ensuring safe working practices at all times.

• Participate in the regional out-of-hours rota, receiving a standby allowance and enhanced rates for call-out attendance.

What You’ll Need:

• Proven experience working with fire sprinkler systems is essential, including Wet, Dry, Alternate, Pre-Action, and Deluge systems. Candidates from a mechanical background with the right attitude and willingness to learn will also be considered.

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.

• A dependable and reliable approach to work, with an understanding of the importance of meeting strict deadlines. Flexibility to work away from home when required is essential.

• Knowledge of fire alarm panels and system isolations.

• A good understanding of health and safety practices and procedures.

• A keen attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Confident communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, customers, and colleagues at all levels.

• A full UK driving licence, with a minimum of 12 months’ driving experience.
